Peachland Homes is pleased to welcome John Vining, one of Atlanta’s well-respected independent builders, to its organization. John will head up Peachland Homes’ rapidly expanding remodeling division where he will spearhead extensive remodels and renovation projects, including but not limited to kitchens, baths, basements and major room additions. Furthermore, John will be one of the builders at various Atlanta-area communities where Peachland Homes will start construction in 2014, such as The River Club.
“We are delighted that John has joined our team,” says Ty White, president and founder of Peachland Homes. “He brings with him strong supervisory and management skills, attention to detail and excellent customer relations. We are sure that he will contribute greatly to our company’s continued growth.”
John, a native Atlantan, graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology in 1979. He then served as an Officer in the US Marine Corps for four years, and retired from the USMC Reserves with the rank of Colonel after another 26 years, for a total of 30 years combined Active and Reserve duty.
He started his career as a homebuilder with Ryan Homes in 1983. Before establishing his own company with his wife Nancy in 1998, he also constructed homes for Centex Homes, Torrey Homes, and D.R. Horton Homes.
John Vining Homes, LLC has built residences of all sizes and prize ranges throughout Georgia’s Fulton, Cherokee and Cobb counties, in particular at Crooked Creek, the prestigious golf course community in North Fulton, and at the Governor’s Towne Club in Cobb County. In 2005, John Vining Homes was selected to build a $2 million, 10,000 sq. ft. home here that served as the Governor’s Towne Club Tour Home.
In 2008, John founded D’Vine Renovations, specializing in all types of remodels.
“I have a lot of experience not only as a builder but also as a manager, being fully engaged in all aspects of running two small companies and staying profitable during the recent recession,” says John, a Licensed Residential Builder and Qualifying Agent in the State of Georgia.
When asked what he thinks is the best part of his work at Peachland Homes, John says: “Having satisfied customers. That sounds cliché, but it really is what makes me tick.”
John and Nancy have two grown children, and are very involved with the children’s ministry at their church. Music is a big part of their lives (John plays piano and guitar), as is sports – especially golf and tennis.
Welcome aboard, John!
